Meeting topic:
For this ocation , the topic will be ”From Student to Teacher : My Story with the Japanese Language” through which we will share our personal experience about how we started learning the Japanese language and how we decided to become teachers.
The goals of the activity are:
-Brush-up on our Japanese skills
-Make new friends
-Widen the scope of our cultural awareness
Before the session:
1- Participants upload pictures and a summary about the topic on a website called Padlet designated for the session.
During the Meeting:
2- We play an ICEBREAKER game and do self-introductions in small groups.
3- Using the pictures and summaries on Padlet, we share about the topic in small groups.
Our cameras and microphones are on and we may ask questions. Group members may choose one person to share the Pallet website for the group, while another member may be the time keeper, to ensure everyone has a chance to share.
4- Participants are placed in different groups and we get to share with different people as explained above.
5- After the two sharing sessions, we are given time to reflect on how well we could share in Japanese.
6-The session closes with a picture, and time to exchange contact information.
